NYPL Hires Ultimate Ref
FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASENEW YORK PAINTBALL LEAGUE – ULTIMATE REF
Syracuse, NY (May 3rd, 2010) – The NYPL is pleased to announce we have hired a highly experienced independent Ultimate Ref for the entire 2010 series, Tony Von Ronne. Tony will be traveling from Albany, NY for each event of the series.
The NYPL feels it is important to invest in having a 3rd party Ultimate Ref for the series to increase the professionalism and integrity of the league. From our understanding, the NYPL will be the only paintball league in the world that has a complete full time reffing staff that will be the same at each event. As discussed in the spring owners meeting, teams are asked to track the performance and write notes on each ref throughout the year. At the end of year meeting, owners will be allowed to vote any ref out for the next year by majority vote if the performance and professionalism is not up to ownership standards. As we said from the beginning, this league is dedicated to its owners.
As one of the largest paintball leagues in the USA, the NYPL will continue to invest in improvements of the league and continue to facilitate the highest standards in paintball tournaments.
Tony Von Ronne has never been employed or affiliated with NYPL ownership, he brings over 16 years of experience in the tournament paintball scene and is the current Head Ref on the 2010 PSP Semi Pro field.
