Conferences:
There will be 2 8 Team Conferences (East, West) based purely on geographical split to allow teams a better chance to practicing each other.
Matches:
There will be 4 Regular Season Events
Teams will get 1 Pre-Season Match which will be your first match. Teams will play another team not in their conference and this match will not count toward your overall standing. Consider this a warm up match. This will be your first match of the season.
Team will get 7 Regular Season Matches which count toward your overall standing.
Teams will get 2 matches per event and both of those matches will be on the same day, either 2 on Saturday or 2 on Sunday.
Finals:
All 16 teams will advance to finals. Teams will be seeded 1 though 16. A single elimination format will be run. 1 v 16, 2 v 15, 3 v 14 etc.. Winner advances and loser is knocked out.
Prizes:
$10,000 Cash Purse to be split based on Owners Decision. We are also working on getting a special NYPL Champion Jersey produced for the 1st place team.
All Star Game:
There will be an all star game with teams choosing 1 player from each team. The top 4 returning NYPL teams based on 2009 overall standings will chose a 2nd player. We currently working on getting a special all star jersey produced for the All Star Game. 8 Cases of Paint will be provided to each team free of charge for the All Star Game.
Jerseys:
Each team will be provided with 12 official NYPL Jerseys. Each team will be responsible for supplying artwork for their jerseys to meet the NYPL regulations. Players name and number (1-99) will be on each jerseys. If a roster change is made a $60 player fee will be required to have a jersey and ID card for this player produced. This must be within 14 days of an event to guarantee jersey is delivered on time.
Format + Rules:
PSP Rules with following highlights/changes
12 person roster
PSP Ramping (currently 12.5)
20 Min Game Clock (this means game clock stops between every point which is equivalent to the NYPL 2009 30 Min Running Clock in which the game clock will run between points until 5 min is reached. This is the new 2009 PSP rules and score board software. An average of 10-15 points will be played in a 20 min Game Clock format)
We will keep half time and switch sides at the half (2, 10 min half’s)
1 min Minors, 2 min Majors as per PSP Pro division.
Paint:
RPS or DXS at $45 per case + tax. Event paint only. Tax Exempt forms allowed.
Location:
All Events will be held at HeadRush Action Sports Park (http://www.headrush.com) in Syracuse, NY. Syracuse, NY is located within 6 hours of most Major North East Cities
Dates:
2010 Dates are confirmed:
May 22nd - 23rd
June 19th - 20th
July 17th - 18th
August 7th - 8th
Finals are scheduled for August 28th - 29th.
Hotel:
The 2010 Official Hotel of the NYPL will be the Holiday Inn Express which features 87 rooms, indoor pool, jacuzzi, fitness center, business center and best of all it is located on site, adjacent to HeadRush Action Sports Park.
Restaurant:
The 2010 Official Restaurant of the NYPL will be the Quaker Steak and Lube (http://www.thelube.com) featuring 3 large dining area, 2 bars, outside patio, the best food ever and best of all it is located on site, adjacent to HeadRush Action Sports Park.
Fees:
$2000 One Time Team Fee
