2009 NYPL Info
The NYPL is back for 2009 featuring 2 division; Xball and Xball Lite. The NYPL was created for the price conscious player looking for a organized well run event to play in and we are continuing that tradition again this year.Location:
Events will be played on an ALL NEW Xball Stadium custom built for the 2009 season at HeadRush Action Sports Park in Syracuse, NY which is only 3 hour drive for most of New York and Canada.. The new stadium will comprise of score board, score tower, team pits, VIP tent, vendor booths, spectator bleachers and GA area. Field will be an official regulation PSP Xball Field with regulation 2009 PSP Sup Air Bunkers. Layouts will be posted at the beginning of the season.
Hotel:
Hotel Accommodations will be provided by Wingate by Wyndham which is located directly behind HeadRush Action Sports.
Dining:
On site dining will be available at the Quaker Steak & Lube located directly next to HeadRush Action Sports.
Format:
Xball:
Pre 2008 NXL format modified to 30 min timed match. 2 Minute time outs, half at 15 minutes. Team with highest score at end of 30 minutes wins the match. Teams will play 2, 30 mintue matches per event. 1 Match will take place on Saturday afternoon and 1 will take place on Sunday morning. At seasons end each team will have played each team once before being seeded for finals.
Xball Lite:
3 Man Xball Lite. Beginner level play with 2 advanced players per roster. Double Elimination. Race to 3 points over a 9 mintue clock. Teams will play minimum of 2 matches and maximum of 5 (winners bracket) or 7 (losers bracket). 16 teams max per event.
Paint:
Event paint will be custom made for the league and will be available for purchase at each event for $45 per case. All teams will be required to shoot the NYPL event paint.
